Genevieve Fitzgibbon is a global leader in disability inclusion, dedicated to expanding access, building partnerships, and shaping policies that promote community inclusion and human rights. As Vice President of Global Programs and Advocacy at Keystone Human Services (KHS), she leads international initiatives that support people with disabilities in living fully included lives. She also heads Keystone Human Services International (KHSI), ensuring the organization’s innovative programs drive meaningful change worldwide.
With over 30 years of experience, Genevieve has been a key force behind disability-inclusive programs, policy advancements, and service innovations. She helped establish Keystone Human Services India Association and played a major role in Keystone Moldova’s efforts to transition people out of institutions and into community-based supports. Before joining KHS, she worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Center on Mental Health Services Research and Policy, focusing on self-determination, recovery, and community inclusion.
A respected speaker and author, Genevieve has published and presented internationally on topics including mental health care reform, disability-inclusive development, and self-determination. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from DePaul University and earned a Transnational NGO Leadership Certification from Syracuse University. Her leadership is guided by a commitment to making disability inclusion a global reality, not just a goal.
