About Gene
Gene Boes is a mission-driven leader dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities through business strategy, nonprofit leadership, and advocacy. Since 2018, he has served as CEO of Northwest Center, guiding the organization’s work in inclusion, employment, and community-based services. His leadership is deeply personal—his daughter, Tori, who has autism, is also a client of Northwest Center Employment Services, reinforcing his commitment to expanding meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities.
Gene’s career spans management consulting, corporate leadership, and military service. Before joining Northwest Center, he was Principal at North Highland Company and Managing Director at Loft9 Consulting, specializing in business strategy, operational improvement, and leadership development. His experience also includes nearly 14 years at Microsoft, two years with Deloitte Consulting, and nine years as a Naval Flight Officer in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his executive leadership, Gene has been an Adjunct Professor at Seattle Pacific University and Seattle University and serves as a mentor for the Albers School of Business.
Gene is a strong advocate for inclusion, equity, and expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities. He and his wife, June, are proud parents of two adult children, Andrew and Tori. When not leading change in disability services, he enjoys mentoring future leaders and shaping organizations that create lasting impact.
