Included. Supported. Empowered. is a three-year storytelling and public awareness-raising initiative designed to celebrate the successes of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), and to highlight the critical role providers play in bringing those successes to fruition.

Too often, the 4.6 million people with I/DD in the United States are undervalued—their abilities overlooked. Similarly, even their support networks go overlooked. The skill, commitment and hard work of the professionals that support people with I/DD to be part of the community have gone unrecognized for far too long

To tell the untold stories of these professionals and the people they support, the ANCOR Foundation launched the Included. Supported. Empowered. campaign to pull back the curtain on all that it takes—and all that is possible when—people have the support they need to thrive in the community.
