On April 13, 2018, from 9:00AM – 2:30PM, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau will host a workshop to identify the communication and information needs of government agencies and consumers to improve preparation and response efforts during disasters.  Members of the disability community are scheduled to speak at the workshop to provide their prospective on communications needs during such emergencies.  A full agenda will be posted to the event page linked below in the coming days.

Audio/video coverage of the meeting will be broadcast live with open captioning over the Internet from the FCC's web page at www.fcc.gov/live.  The FCC’s webcast is free to the public.  Reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request.  Include a description of the accommodation you will need and tell us how to contact you if we need more information.  Make your request as early as possible.  Last minute requests will be accepted, but may be impossible to fill.  Send an e-mail to fcc504@fcc.gov or call the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau at 202-418-0530 (voice), 202-418-0432 (TTY).
